Crossroads66 is a web directory built on the model of the curator's index: a structured, plainly labelled catalogue of websites organised by subject and maintained for straightforward reference.
The index holds 838 approved entries across 22 subject sections. Each section addresses a distinct area — from financial services and health practitioners to travel operators, computing, and the general catalogue for sites that span categories. Entries are assigned to sections based on the site's primary function; where a site's activity is mixed or difficult to classify, it is recorded in the General Catalogue.
Every entry in Crossroads66 has been reviewed before inclusion. The index does not process automated submissions or bulk listings. Sites are assessed individually; those that meet the directory's criteria are entered into the appropriate section and retained until they become inactive or are removed on request.
Crossroads66 does not rank, rate, or score entries. The index is a flat catalogue: within each section, entries are arranged alphabetically. There is no promoted placement and no weighting applied to any address.
Submissions are open and free of charge. To add a site, visit the submission page, provide the site's address, and select the most relevant subject section. Crossroads66 will review the entry and, if suitable, record it in the catalogue. Accepted entries appear in the index after the review period.
The index is maintained as a reference resource — a place to locate addresses by subject rather than by search engine rank or editorial opinion.
